Why choose Na Pali Riders?
We go the extra mile...literally. We cover the entire Na Pali Coast, all 17 miles. Launching from the Kikiaola Harbor in Waimea, we go up to Ke'e Beach in Haena before we turn our boat around. We also do an
excellent job of educating you about the Na Pali's majestic and mysterious coastline.
What is a Zodiac® raft?
Our raft (aka "Seabiscuit") is made by the maker Zodiac®. Zodiac® is known in the boating industry for exceptional quality
and safety and is utilized in military and industrial operations including the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy SEALS. When deciding on the brand of raft to represent Na Pali Riders,
there was no question that Zodiac® would be our choice for passenger comfort and safety. [Learn More About Our Zodiac® Hurricane Raft]
Where do you depart from?
Tours depart from Kikiaola Harbor in Waimea (West Side of Kauai). This is Kauai's closest harbor to Na Pali Coast. We get there faster and see more of it.
How long is the tour?
5 hours long.
What's the difference between a morning vs. afternoon Kauai raft tour?
The morning tours have better ocean conditions and more wildlife encounters. Afternoon tours will be more bumpy since the winds pick up later in the day.
How long is it to get from the harbor to the Na Pali Coast?
Not far at all. We can get up to the Na Pali Coast in 30 minutes.
Do you stop to snorkel, how long? Is it optional?
Yes, we stop to snorkel on all of our tours (conditions permitting). Snorkeling time is between 30-45 minutes. Snorkeling is optional.
Do you enter sea caves?
Yes, we can get into the famous sea caves of Na Pali Coast (conditions permitting) with our type of raft. [Sea Caves Video]
Can we go swimming/snorkeling in the sea caves?
No, due to safety and visibility reasons.
Will I get wet?
Is this a trick question? You'll get some sea spray, but you won't get drenched. Just be prepared to have fun.
Can I bring my camera and video equipment?
Yes, but at your own risk. We'll give you a waterproof bag for your belongings.
What do I bring with me to the tour?
Wear your swimsuit underneath your clothing. Don't forget a towel, sunscreen, a camera, sunglasses. If it's "chilly" in the morning you may want a light jacket.
I want to hike the Kalalau Trail but only one way. Do you do drop-offs and/or pick-ups ?
No, we do not provide this service.
