You will be taken by Zodiac® raft to a secluded bay where you will experience a Kauai snorkel adventure against the backdrop of the stunning cliffs of Na Pali Coast. *Na Pali Riders puts the safety of our passengers first. Snorkeling is conditions permitting. Large surf, murky waters, and/or high winds are all factors considered by the Captain when choosing a snorkeling destination on a Kauai raft tour.

We are always amazed by what we witness under the ocean's surface. Common sightings include beautiful corals, tropical fish and green sea turtles. On rare occasions we may encounter the Hawaiian monk seal, manta rays, and a reef shark (or two...).

Do you provide snorkel equipment?

Yes, complimentary snorkel equipment is provided on each of our rafting tours. You'll get a mask, snorkel, and fins.

How long do you stop to snorkel for?

We generally snorkel for around 30-45 minutes.

Where do you stop to snorkel?

There are several spots to snorkel at on the Na Pali Coast. The captain will choose the best place to snorkel at, in respect to the ocean conditions and water clarity that day. If conditions prove to be too rough and/or unsafe on the Na Pali, we opt to snorkel at another area nearby.

Do you recommend an underwater camera?

You never know what you're going to see, so this is a good idea, but definitely not mandatory. Na Pali Riders will take photos and video of each day's rafting tour, which is available for purchase at the end of the tour.

What if I'm not a strong swimmer?

Well, this is definitely not place to learn to swim. If you're unsure about your swimming capabilities, you can always hang out on the boat with the captain and crew while the rest of the group is snorkeling. You may also strap on a mask, hold on to our ladder, and put your head in the water to see what's swimming around the boat.
