To get to the beach, you should head west on Highway 560 from Hanalei. Stay on the road until you come to mile marker 10. Parking is pretty limited, so you should try and get there early to secure a spot.


Do I need a reservation?

As of now, you do need to make a reservation to access this part of Hawaii. It does not matter if you are walking, shuttling, or driving in.

Do I need a parking permit?

No, but parking is currently limited to 100 spots. However, there are a few shuttle services you can take. Do a quick search and find the shuttle that works best for you.

What should you do once you’re at the beach? Here are some popular activities:

Swimming:

Swimming is one of the great activities this beach offers. It has calm beaches and a shallow lagoon making it perfect for kids and beginner swimmers. You can venture out past this lagoon but beware of currents and other ocean hazards.

Snorkeling and Diving:

Another great way to explore the beach is snorkeling or diving! The waters are typically calm and have an abundance of coral and wildlife. The best snorkeling is on the right side of the beach – explore and be safe!

Sunbathing and Relaxing:

Sometimes, all you need is a good book, some sunscreen, and a beach towel. Ke’e has plenty of sand to lounge on, so find your spot and soak up the sun!
