Keep An Eye On Conditions
Because of the location of Turtle Cove, it can experience sometimes dangerous conditions, especially during the winter months when Kauai’s surf is much rougher.
Ask the locals, check the surf report, and be confident in your hiking abilities. As always – good footwear is important.
If the rocks you are walking on are wet or darker than the surrounding rocks, that means the surf has been hitting that high up recently. Stay away from wet rocks to prevent getting swept into the ocean by waves.
