Puakuau Falls Sea Arch was known as a popular pit-stop for ocean-wary paddlers that traveled Kauai’s Na Pali Coast. Here, in view of some of the highest sea cliffs in the state of Hawaii (3,000 – 4,000 ft), these brave ocean voyagers could pass directly below Puakuau Falls and refill their water containers without having to leave the canoe – a very welcome and convenient feature especially considering the vast distances these Pacific Islanders were traveling.
